July 27, 2015The Puerto Rico Energy Commission, pursuant to Act 57-2014, as amended, known as the Puerto Rico Energy Transformation and RELIEF Act, and Act No. 170 of August 12, 1988, as amended, known as the Uniform Administrative Procedure Act, has adopted the Regulation on Certifications, Annual Fees and Operational Reports of Electric Power Companies in Puerto Rico. This Regulation took effect on the date of its approval on July 10, 2015 by virtue of Art. 6.20 of Act No. 57-2014, as amended, and Art. 2.13 of the Uniform Administrative Procedure Act.
The purpose of this Regulation is to establish the rules governing the information and reports that electric power companies must submit to the Commission; the rules governing the content and procedures applicable to certification requests that electric power companies providing services in Puerto Rico have to submit and obtain; and rules governing the annual or regulatory fees that electric power companies operating in Puerto Rico must pay to the Commission.
The text of this Regulation is available for public scrutiny at the Puerto Rico Energy Commission, located in the World Plaza Building, 268 Muñoz Rivera Ave., Suite #702, Hato Rey, PR 00918. The working hours of the Puerto Rico Energy Commission are between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on business days. The Regulation will also be published along this Notice on the Commission’s Internet website, www.energia.pr.gov.
During a period of thirty (30) days, starting from the publication date of this Notice, any interested person shall be able to submit comments in writing or request an oral hearing concerning the aforementioned Regulation, along with those justifications that, according to the requesting party, merit an oral hearing, to the attention of Mr. Agustín F.
