Notice Concerning Public Hearings

The Puerto Rico Energy Commission (“Commission”), pursuant Act No. 57-2014, as amended, known as the Puerto Rico Energy Transformation and RELIEF Act, Act No. 170 of August 12, 1988, as amended, known as the Uniform Administrative Procedure Act, and Regulation No. 8543, known as Regulation on Adjudicative, Notice of Noncompliance, Rate Review and Investigation Procedures, will hold public comment hearings regarding the procedure for the approval of the new transparent bill of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (“PREPA”). The purpose of establishing such transparent bill is to provide the consumer with detailed information about the rates that are paid for electric service and how the payments are used to cover operational and administrative costs from PREPA.

The information related to this proceeding is available for public scrutiny at the Commission’s website (www.energia.pr.gov) and at the Clerk’s Office, located in the Seaborne Building, 268 Muñoz Rivera Ave., Plaza Level Suite 202, Hato Rey, PR 00918. The working hours of the Clerk’s Office are between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on business days.

During a period of thirty (30) days, starting from the publication date of this Notice, any interested person shall be able to submit comments in writing addressed to the President of the Commission Mr. Agustín F. Carbó Lugo, Esq., and to the attention of Eng. Vanessa I. Acarón Toro, Seaborne Building, 268 Muñoz Rivera Ave., Plaza Level Suite 202, Hato Rey, P.R. 00918, or by electronic mail at: comentarios@energia.pr.gov.

The Commission will hold two (2) Public Comment Hearings. The date, time and place of each hearing will be:
