Notice Concerning Public Hearing on the Integrated Resources Plan for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority

The Puerto Rico Energy Commission (“Commission”), pursuant to Section 6B of Act No. 83 of May 2, 1941, as amended, known as the Electric Power Authority Act, and Section 6.23 of Act No. 57-2014, as amended, known as the Puerto Rico Energy Transformation and RELIEF Act, and Act No. 170 of August 12, 1988, as amended, known as the Uniform Administrative Procedure Act, Regulation No. 8543, known as the Regulation on Adjudicative, Notice of Noncompliance, Rate Review and Investigation Procedures, and Regulation No. 8594, known as the Regulation on Integrated Resource Plan for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 related to the evaluation process on the Integrated Resources Plan of the Electric Power Authority (“IRP”). The Public Hearing will be held at 3:30pm in the Teatro Vicente Murga, Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ave. Las Américas Núm. 2250, Ponce, P.R. 00717.

During the Public Hearing, citizens may express their opinion about PREPA’s updated IRP proposal, as amended. As established in the Commission’s Policy Statement of July 22, 2015, the Commission seeks the participation of citizens, entities and intermediary organizations dedicated to the fields of economics, planning, sciences and engineering, among other disciplines related to the IRP.

The IRP file is available for public scrutiny at the Commission’s Clerk’s Office, located temporarily at the Puerto Rico Telecommunications Regulation Board, 500 Ave. Roberto Todd (Pda. 18 – Santurce) San Juan PR 00907-3941, or at the Commission’s Offices, located in the World Plaza Building, 268 Muñoz Rivera Ave., Suite #703, Hato Rey, PR 00918. The working hours of the Puerto Rico Energy Commission are between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on business days.
